Feile na nGael 2010 Ogonnelloe retain under 14 D Title Ogonnelloe 3-10 Ennistymon 1-2 By The Clare Champion - 2010-06-15 Ogonnelloe 3-10 Ennistymon 1-2 Ogonnelloe won back-to-back U-14D championships when they defeated Ennistymon in this one sided affair at Cusack Park last Saturday. The foundations for this victory were laid in the first half when the winners hit 3-4 with Ennistymon managing just one goal in reply. Eimhin Ryan got Ogonnelloe off to a flying start when he hit 1-1 inside the opening few minutes. Two points from James Kiely followed before Ennistymon replied with a goal of their own from Liam Devitt.
However Ogonnelloe hit back with goals from Cian Fitzgerald-Bradley and David Kiely to effectively kill off the game before half time. Try as they did Ennistymon could not find a way to breach the Ogonnelloe defence in the second half while the winners had further points from Cian Fitzgerald-Bradley, Jack Orme and James Kiely to run out winners on a 3-10 to 1-2 scoreline. Best for the winners were Finbarr Kiely, Benjamin Kikkers, Mark Walsh and James Kiely. After the game Bord na nÓg chairman Sean O’Halloran presented the trophy to the Ogonnelloe captain, Jack Orme.

Music is by Brian Finn. Raffle with 1st prize of Dinner for Two with a Bottle of House Wine at the Lakeside Hotel. Cover charge €5 at the door.

Clare hosting national féile finals Christy Cooney Launches Feile 2010 By The Clare People - 2010-05-27 The 2010 GAA Féile na nGael finals were officially launched in the Michael Cusack Centre in Carron yesterday by association president Christy Cooney. Also in attendance were current Clare hurler John Conlon and former Clare hurling player and manager Ger Loughnane.
This is the 40th anniversary of the Féile na nGael competitions, which are the All-Ireland under-14 hurling, camogie and handball finals. This year the finals take place throughout Clare from June 18 to 20. Up to 4,000 youths, from clubs throughout Ireland and beyond, will participate in the finals over the three days of competition.

The Count Feile Committee are holding a Poker Classic on Friday night the 30th April in the West County Hotel.
The Feile Organising Committee is self financed and does not receive any money from the County Board so it is important to the smooth and successful running of Feile that Friday night is a success.
If you or any of your friends play a bit opf poker, please make an effort to attend.
