Ogonnelloe - Under 14 Camogie Team, 2010 Brief History Club Ogonnelloe Camogie Club was founded by the late An tAthair Seamus O'Dea P.P. (R.I.P) and a very determined committee in 1984. The club has been very successful in underage competitions and have also won two junior leagues and championships and one intermediate league.
Junior Champions 1988 Marion O'Brien won the County Feile Skills and went on to represent our club and county in the All Ireland finals. A number of players from our club played on underage teams both at Inter-county and Inter-provincial level. We also won six County and six All Ireland titles in Ceoil Caint agus Damsha. Ogonnelloe N.S. joined Cumann na Mbunscoil Camogaiocht in 1987 and won their Division in 1995 captained by Roisin Kiely and in 2000 won Division 4, captained by Marion O'Brien. Feile na nGael provided much fun and excitement for our club and parish on its first visit to Clare. We hosted a Club from County Westmeath and once again we are looking forward to making new friends from our visiting county. The club is grateful to the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers who travel with out teams and a special word of thanks to the ladies and gentlemen for their sterling work behind the scenes. The club is also grateful to all our sponsors and the Ogonnelloe Hurling Club. We are fortunate to have hard working committees aswell as committed trainers and players. It is very important to incorporate fun with training and we hope that our underage structure offers just that.
Camogie Mothers - 1984 "Ta an Formhair go fairsig ach ta na haibrithe gan" Competition In 2010 we are lucky to be able to take part in the following competitions as numbers are often a problem for our small club : U8 Blitz, U10 Blitz, U12C, U14C Intermediate League and Championship Our Intermediate girls are also amalgamated with Scarriff for the Senior League and Championship in 2010. |
